i've gone into add/remove programs and taken out the programs i don't use
anymore or i could live without. each time i removed one, i went to
start/search/files and folders and typed in the name of the program i had
just removed and deleted the same programs if they came out of the search and
also any part of it. just be sure to only take out things that belong to that
program. then you can click on my computer, click on the c drive and then
open up program files. look at the folders and see if theres anything in
there you don't want or need and delete them. you'd be suprised what you may
find in there. and if you still really need some more space, you can go to
start/run and type in cookies. a window will come up with all your cookies
and you can delelete all of them EXCEPT the one that's labeled INDEX. don't
take the index out. you can also get to the cookies by going to start/search
and typing in cookies. just don't take the index out. if youve got a few
radios etc. (spinner, real player, winamp, quick time player, windows media
player, etc. just keep a couple of them and get rid of the rest. there's a
lot of ways to recover hdd space, but why don't you just add another hard
drive? good luck and be careful what your taking out.
