I'm beginning to get the impression that some of the so-called 'virus testing labs' are not as impartial as the connotations of this label implies, and that many of these bodies are either quasi or fully commercial with vested interests in the anti-virus industry.

Does anyone have any insights as to the credibility and\or reliability of 'virus testing' organisations?
