Well, after a long time searching the web I found a solution to
reinstalling the Network Neighbourhood

Now I get this

Status: Connected via Parallel cable on LPT1. Looking for Shared folders.

Cannot find the host computer.

At the prompt, I insert the name of the host which is running W98.  My
laptop is running W98 SE

I still can not access the host's files even though I am told i have a
valid link between the two systems.

Replacing/installing vredir.vxd as suggest in Microsoft Knowledge Base
Article - 159578 did not help at all!!

Does any one have any ideas?
