I have a friend who came to me with this request:

He and his wife share a Windows 98-equipped PC and each have separate dial-up accounts with an ISP. He prefers Netscape Communicator (installed) and she prefers Internet Explorer. He would like his and her Internet access icons on the desktop so each can click on their respective icon and be deposited in their preferred browser and dialed into their account.

Now I know Windows has always been pretty particular about identifying a default browser, so I was wondering if anyone out there has a creative solution for this request? Back before I got cable Internet access a year and a half ago, I used DUNCE for my dial-up initialization. DUNCE would start an application after a connection was established and, as I remember it, would accomplish what my friend is requesting. My question to the list, restating the question asked in this paragraph's first sentence, is "What is the best way to regularly use two different browsers in Windows 98?"

Thanks in advance.
