Is the network in place and working? You'll need to do that first, following
the instructions in the URL I posted. This is actually fairly simple.
Which OS X? There's 10.2,and 3, which I think is called Panther. This
primitive operating system may need different drivers for each version, as
was true in the case of my Fuji printer. You may have better luck if you
completely update the Mac system.

Thanks. The printer I am looking for is the Brother HL1440, a laser
printer. The Mac operating system is OS 10 which may or may not have
the latest patch.To locate the remote printer, do I need to install
the printer driver on my PC?
