I think you'll find it's a copy protection issue. Most CD's these days are
copy-protected and the methods are getting more sophisticated by the day.
The business of copying CD's has become a whole sub-culture in the computer
world, and you need to be right up with the play to even understand what's
going on.
Your requirement, of wanting to create a backup for your own use, is
perfectly understandable and very common. Regrettably, in most cases you
will be prevented from doing so.
