Hi Steve,
I think you need to check your power option settings.

When I select hybernate, the system goes into ram only power, which shuts
down my hdd, monitor and cpu fan.
What is nice about this mode is it is quiet and when i choose to come back,
I simply press the power switch once on my tower front case. The system acts
like it is rebooting, but doesn't have to go thru all the reboot stuff.

I don't remember if i enabled that level in bios but I know you can also set
it in your system under the power function options.

Where will you be in 100 years? If you don't know, I can tell you. (and its
not the grave). Write me.
