I use Outlook98 for all my contacts and Email needs as well as a newsreader,
and I find it more than adequate. It does use OE as the newsreader, they
work in conjunction with each other. I don't know about all your questions,
but if you do decide to try or use Outlook, you definitely will want to get
Outlook98 as a free download, assuming you are a registered Office user. It
resolved some of the early issues with O97. Just thought I'd pass this on to
you.
