Kevin,

I have spent many, many hours trying to figure this out.  Novice computer owners are
so naive.  That's so much for taking the time to answer my simplistic question.
Yes, the ink cartridge was empty and my printer works great now.   I didn't know it
would read incorrectly if I reinstalled my printer or took the cartridge out and
reinstalled it.

Thanks for the peace of mind I have and all the work I am able to get caught up on.
