Hi Nancy,
At the moment McAfee shows nothing on their site about a virus named
"Pinkbot" nor does it show up on a search elsewhere.
You could check on their site http://vil.nai.com/vil/default.aspx
Where is the file (FS1715.CAB) located on your harddrive?
Do a search for it - don't bother to use the windows search utility
-it's way too slow.
Instead use XSearch http://www.easexp.com/xsearch/
Make a note of its location.
Once you've found it upload it to either McAfee -instructions should be
in the program -
or try VirusTotal http://www.virustotal.com/ From that page navigate
to the location of the file and upload.
This will give you a better idea if it's a real virus.
If so Killbox may do the job of removing it http://killbox.net/
Also check the help page http://killbox.net/help.html

The virus scan I run on McAfee shows a virus "Pinkbot"
I have tried to delete, clean and quarantine but get the error-
Disk is write-protected. File cannot be deleted, cleaned or quar.
File "FS1715.CAB" the option is OK. Can someone advise me how can I
delete this virus?
Thank you for any help you can offer me.
