Hi Michael,
Sorry for the impertinance :),but this is an amusing question.
Most people would not want to see this nag box pop up each time
they start their browser.
The reason it won't popup anymore is because at some point you clicked
yes to it being the default.
So unless I'm missing something, what is the real problem?
1.That the nag box doesn't show? OR
2.That links don't open in the chosen browser, either for you or your
daughter?
I hope you have separate accounts for you and your daughter.
That makes setting the default browser much easier, since the settings
are per user account.
Apart from the settings in the respective browsers, you can also do it
via Start > Start Menu > Program Access and Defaults >Custom Settings
or via Control Panel > Add/Remove and then select Program Access and
Defaults >Custom Settings
then tick your choices as required.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Making IE (6) the default Browser

I know I've asked and rcvd an answer for this but for the life of me I
can't find it. My daughter set Firefox as the default browser on our
laptop and my wife prefers IE. I've tried unchecking and rechecking the
box in both IE and Firefox that says to check whether each is the
default browser, but neither browser asks the question any more, the one
that asks if you want to make current browser the default. I've tried
rebooting, but still cannot get the question in either browser when it
comes up.
