Dear Mario,
I think you must have the option "headers only" set for your incoming mail
(it's the default option, so it would have been set up that way unless you
specified otherwise during installation). Under this option, when Eudora
checks your mail server account for your mail, only a minimal amount of
information about each message is transferred to your PC. This consists
info such as: the sender, the date and time of the message, the subject,
and so forth. Only when you "open" this minimal message, is the entire
message downloaded.
However, if the message has an attachment, it will be downloaded subject to
what setting you have for the option, to download full message except
attachments over a certain size.
From what you describe, you may have this restriction also turned on, and
so the message you want is not being downloaded.
To fix this, go to TOOLS, under TOOLS go to "Options". In the pop-up window
select INCOMING MAIL, and UN-CHECK the box next to "skip messages over
___K". This will get Eudora to download the entire message regardless of size.
You can also, if you prefer, use the same window to turn off the "minimal
header only" option and Eudora will download the entire message when it
checks your server for mail, not just the "header" information.
