My response:

I am running Office97 and Explorer 4.0 on a laptop (Gateway 2300 Solo)
and a desktop clone.  I have not run into any compatibility issues on
either computer.  Regarding Win98, I have not installed this OS at all,
but a couple of my contractors have told me that their experience is
that if you have Win95B (with USB support) and IE 4.0, you actually have
a better system than Win98.  Their point is that you have basically the
same system, but the Win95B/IE 4.0 combo is faster than Win98.
