I seem to recall versions of Winzip later than 8 have the ability to span multiple disks. But there was some odd sort of requirement like the file had to be zipped first before it could be processed further into 'chunks'.

Subject: [PCSOFT] File too big to write to a CD
The built in CD burning software that comes with XP-Home has, so
far, worked well for me. However I have just produced a Win.zip file
that is too large for a single CD.
Is it possible to "span" two CD's with this file? Will I need additional
software to break the Win.zip file into two pieces? Or would more
sophisticated "burning" software be the answer?
Would welcome suggestions as to the best way to deal with this
problem.
