I have been getting a lot of "relaying .. not allowed" messages from the
server lately myself. What this means is that the SMTP server (outgoing
mail server) is not accepting the mail with the credentials provided. In
my case it was due to our school starting to require password
authentication for outgoing mail as well as incoming. A lot of spam is
going out on non-secure SMTP servers, so many of them are likely to
start adding security.

How your e-mail gets sent depends on the configuration of the client
program. If you reply to a message, it may get sent differently than if
it were a new message. Another possible reason for the problem could be
that the SMTP server that you are using is specifically refusing to send
e-mail to a particular domain. Given the address you are mentioning, it
does not seem likely to be the case.

Just some ideas. It took me a while to fix my configurations after our
server was changed.

Peter
