Go to Run....type... cmd...press enter....the dos screen should be there

Dear List,

I can't find how to start Scandisk from the dos prompt and since XP doesn't
allow you to manually initiate in windows unless you want to shutdown and
restart, which in my opinion is a pain, so anyone know how to start scandisk
from the dos prompt?
