DR DOS started life as Digital Research's (hence the DR) version of DOS.
It was later bought by Novell, upgraded to version 6 and repackaged as
"Novell Personal Netware".
It is now owned by Caldera who upgraded it to version 7
Throughout it it's "life", DR DOS has never been free.
At one point, Caldera had a free TRIAL offer, but (last time I checked) all
references/links regarding DR DOS have been removed from Caldera's web
site..
