Word 2010 can read (and save as) word 2003 (word 97-2003 - .doc files.) I don't have a word 2007 install to check, but if word 2007 creates .docx files, that's the same as word 2010. I do not think you can save a 2003 .doc file as 2010 .docx file from the Word 2003 version, unless someone has a plugin available.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Converting Word 2003 files into Word 2010

I understand that Word 2003 files can be converted into Word 2007 files, but I'm not sure if they can be directly converted into Word 2010 files. Can they?

Thank You.

Ron Kaplan
