It usually means that the underlying HTML code is incorrect. Either the name
of the image is spelled incorrectly or the location is wrong.
You can also get this "X" if you have elected to uncheck the "Show Pictures"
option in IE advanced options.
You can sometimes get the image by right-clicking the image and selecting
"Show picture."
