As other posts have stated it is possible to fix some problems with
re-installing Windows (and I have done it). But be aware that if you have
updated some windows components (Internet Explorer 4.x - 5.5 especially)
you may get some of the needed dll files overwritten by older versions and
some things won't work. Just note which ones are in error messages and then
go to Microsoft and get the latest versions.
