Sometimes you can go to Web mail and delete the email.  I've done this a few
times.  I cancel the download into Outlook/Outlook Express, then go to my
ISP's Web mail, and delete the email.

And yes, sometimes you have to tell your friends, if you're on dial-up to
Please not send huge files, especially pictures and the video ones.

Is it possible to discontinue and delete e-mails when they are in the
progress of downloading something that takes forever?

I've researched Help with no results and finally called tech support at SBC
Global dial-up; they tell me my solution is to talk with the sender about
it.
