Picking up on Tom's clue words "old" and "legacy",
my guess is that the program is a pre-win9x version and
does not have any entries in the system registry, hence it
is not listed in the ADD/REMOVE dialog.
Use the Windows Explorer to view the file list in the
Family Tree's program folder and see if there is
some sort of uninstall routine located there.
As a last resort, you can delete the entire program folder
and just leave it in the recycle bin for a week or so -- or
until you are sure that nothing is needed.
