One year ago we purchased an IBM Aptiva PC. It came with Windows 98 and a
56K modem. Our problem is this: After you have been on-line for an hour or
so (and the same thing happens when the computer is on stand-by) it refuses
to stay connected. You can reconnect, but even then it will only stay for
seconds...not even enough time to switch pages at a website. This really
causes a problem in some instances. I contacted IBM, but they said it was
our ISP. So, I contacted them and they said that we have unlimited service,
so it wasn't them. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm at a loss and have
asked several "experts", but no seems to know. I thank you in advance for
any help.
