It sound like the game changed your screen resolution. Follow these steps to
change it.

Right click on a blank area of the desktop

Select Properties

Select the Settings tab at the top of the page

In the bottom right area of the box there is a slide bar labeled Screen
area.

You can slide the bar left and right to change the screen resolution.

The higher the resolution the more stuff you can fit on your screen. This
will have the effect of making things like icons and text smaller on the
screen. Play with the settings to find the best balance of screen size and
icon size. The larger your monitor the higher you can set your resolution
without straining your eyes.
