Many virus detection programs scan the floppy on start up and shut down
automatically. If you have McAfee there is an option to turn that function
off in Vshield properties. I'm sure the others all have a way too. You
might want to think about it though. Leaving a floppy in your drive that
has a virus on it and then booting from it accidentally can really do some
damage.
