Anne:
the way I deal with this is go to the web based email
utility that most ISPs have, and find and delete the huge email there.
then it won't download to your email client.
Then I either ask the offender to reduce the size of the file(s)
or block the sender in my email client.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Discontinuing downloads

Is it possible to discontinue and delete e-mails when they are in the
progress of downloading something that takes forever?

I've researched Help with no results and finally called tech support at SBC
Global dial-up; they tell me my solution is to talk with the sender about
it.
