I'm using Win98SE and recently notice Windows Explorer shows a System Folder
with no name. The folder is located in the My Computer view and is only
displayed in the right pane. On the left pane it shows the drives A: C: D:
E: M: and Control Panel, Dial-up Networking, Printers, Scheduled Tasks and
Web Folders. In the right pane it shows the same items plus 1 system folder
with no name. A left click does nothing and I cannot drag the folder to the
recycle bin. A right click only displays the following choices, cut, create
shortcut, delete. Cut gives the folder the dull appearance as it normally
would but I'm unable to paste the folder anywhere including the recycle bin.
Create Shortcut gives an error that it can't be created and to check if the
disk is full, it's not. Delete does nothing. I'm also unable to rename the
folder.
Does anyone know how to get rid of this? It doesn't seem to be hurting
anything and the system is running fine. I'm just curious why it appeared
and how to get rid of it.
Thank You,
Joe Trimarchi
