If the spell check box is a regular window, make sure it is active and type
alt-space.  You will get a drop down box.  Even if you can't see it, type m
and use the arrow keys to relocate the window.  You could also change the
screen resolution to something the lets the whole box appear, e.g.., go from
640x480 to 800x600.
