Yes it matters.
I don't generally take wild guesses, but if you had 64bit, you would know it already.
You would have had trouble with drivers (or no supported drivers) before.
Since you looked, I think you have your answer. (They forgot to "tell you"
and were VERY ambigious about it where you most likely looked.)
You can double check.
