Hello!
Which version of IE are you dealing with?
I have a client woth IE 3 where this also happened. The further error
message added that the content advisor files were not found. As with you,
clicking the disable option did nothing. My next solution was to reinstall
IE 3 (since files were missing). Awaiting the results...

Subject: [PCSOFT] Content Advisor
I don't believe in coincidences. In 2 days I've ran into the exact same
problem on 2 different computers and cannot figure out how it happened or
how to solve it.
On both machines when going onto the Internet I get a message saying that
Content Advisor will not let me on to a page with no rating. Fine, I
understand how Content Advisor works but with both machines neither person
did anything, or even knew what Content Advisor was, to make any changes to
Content Advisor. Then it asked for a password to change the settings and
neither person had a password. When I went into Content Advisor to disable
it the disable button does nothing.
Has anyone come across this before? Neither person can access the internet
because of this and formatting is starting to seem like the only option but
not really the most popular.
Any advice please. I've been to the Microsoft site but nothing there that
can help.
Thank you,
Michael J. Murray
