I would try another spyware scan. You need to update Spybot *daily* if you
want the latest spy programs to be detected. I usually run at least two
and they will get different items. I've used Ad-aware and now usually use
the free on-line X-Cleaner at:

http://www.spywareinfo.com/xscan.php

as a second scanner since they are constantly updating spyware data on line.

After surfing the web, the next day when I turned on my computer I
noticed some new icons on my desk top. They look like Internet explorer
icons, with names like gambling casinos and college courses. I delete
them from the desk top. Also deleted them from my Favorite folder but
they come back the next time I reboot.

When I place my cursor on them I get the following URL:
http://www.motor-search.info/.

I have run Spybot and it didn't turn up this URL or any cookies.

It keeps trying to change my start page but thankfully I have Start Page
Guard and it tells me when this happens.
