Hi There:
There is a great article in the January PC World magazine about this subject
and I'm sure you can find it on line at >www.pcworld.com/downloads<. The
main thrust of the article is not to put your e-mail address out to public
mailing lists, such as this. That is unfortunate since they are invaluable
sources of help. They recommend that you "munge" your address and it also
explains how to do this. Make sure when you download any software that you
remove the default permission to send you updates and so on. Most people
don't notice this feature on a lot of sites.
