From time to time the networked Thinkpads 600E in my company freeze up; the laptops are cloned running Windows 98. The problem seems to occur when users are running IE 5.0, Word 2000 or Outlook 2000. I am suspecting the problem may with the McAfee files as the VirusScan is enable upon Startup. Is there anyone out there that knows for a fact there is incompatibility issues with IE 5.0 and McAfee VirusScan that my be causing the freeze ups or fatal exception errors.
Any troubleshooting assistance is greatly appreciated.
