I do not know about using it in a table [I have never tried it in that
format]. That value is automatically looked up so I do not think there is
any event that can be used to trigger code to add information.
In the case of a form, if you wish to trigger an event that will notify you
that an item is not in the list, you must set the value for the property
"limit to list" to yes. This causes a NotInList event to occur. When that
event occurs, you can do whatever you wish in order to add the record to the
table. Depending upon your lookup table fields, you could simply add a
record to a table that has only a single field, or you could open a form
based upon the lookup table to add the record then return to the main form.
I would need to know more about your database to help you with this. It can
be a bit complex depending upon how much control you wish to maintain over
the user and data.
