Many program uninstalls don't do as good a job as they should, by failing
to remove registry entries.

I suggest you open regedit and run Edit/Find for the name of the software,
and delete all entries relating to that program, particularly those in the
Run sections of the registry.  Hit F3 to continue Find.  One of the
shortcomings of msconfig is that it doesn't point to the origin of the
start instructions, which can be in any one or more registry sections.  A
better utility is StartEd.

If you go to my Web tutorial  "Computer slow to complete startup" there is
a list of possible registry locations to look in for startup programs.

Backup the registry before making changes if you're unsure.
