I use DUNCE252 which works with DUN. It is customizable: I can
set automatic dial-up times to receive messages, I can set which
programs I want it to run on dial-up, etc. It is a product of
Vector Development and can be found at
http://www.vecdev.com/dunce.html

There also is a version one pays for, but I have found the basic
version to be quite useful.
