Hi Lisa,

I haven't seen a reply to this so I'll give it a shot. Go back to Display
Properties and click the "Appearance" tab. There you'll find several
settings and buttons to play with. Experiment with them, click "OK" and
restart the computer to check the results.

You might also check "Add or Remove Programs" to see if anything (a theme?)
has been installed by him (you didn't indicate his age, but it reads like he
is young). If the problem still persists you could try a system restore
(Start Menu \ Programs \ Accessories \ System Tools) to the latest restore
point before this happened.

Requiring a password to access the computer would provide some degree of
protection from "unauthorized" use.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Display properties of Windows Me

I know this seems really simple but it is a very frustrating problem to
me. I use windows ME and use desktop themes on my display. My nephew
was playing on the computer and changing the display properties. Now
every time I log on the titles under the shortcut icons and the
status/start bar at the bottom show up black with HUGE white
letters. I have to go into display and choose a new desktop theme to
correct it but it goes back to the black/white problem the next time I
log on. PLEASE HELP!!!

Thank You,

Lisa Watt
