<<<<I suspect Mozilla is similar if not identical>>>

Till now I was under the impression they were the same. are they different browsers? i have version 3.12.00 which says "firefox" company name=mozilla.

reading the other posts on the subject it appears different versions have different options including that for downloads.

in mine the options are general, privacy, content, tab, downloads, advanced.

under downloads:-

(1)a ask me where to save every file.

b save all files to this folder

[desktop (default)] {browse}= you can choose destination

(2)download manager

(2)a show download manager when download begins

b close download manager when all downloads are complete.

(3) download actions--fire fox can automatically download or open files of certain types

[ view & edit actions] clicking this button opens up a window with different file type extensions like pdf, fdf, xdf, wma, avi,wav etc etc and their corresponding applications for opening like "adobe for pdf" etc etc.

i hope this will be of interest to members.

good day----Venkat
