Diane,

Are you sure this is the order/sequence of how you did it?

I'm asking because you said that you went to the Windows Explorer and
deleted the directories THEN went to word.

If you deleted the directories from inside Explorer first, then they/it
would no longer exist and there would not be anything to re-add to Word
later.

Since we can't look over your shoulder, sometimes it's hard to understand
what someone is explaining.  Perhaps if you told us exactly how (step by
step) you go into WORD's favorite list and add an item, it will help us to
understand what is happening with your system.
