I would recommend to use another one _instead_  Win XP one.
Windows firewall only protects from incoming attacks but not
protects You when your computer gets infected some new
worm and starts send out e-mails or when You get new trojan
what sends out Your personal data. At moment I recommend
for home use Kerio Personal Firewall.
