This might be a question you would want to ask @home.
I have seen their setup on a friends computer, and the e-mail
function is integrated into the main local start-up page.
They also warned him that they were discontinuing support
for the browser and e-mail (NetScape) he selected when the
tech came to install the service.  (That should be resolved by now...)
(His service is "asleep" so I can not look at it...)
You need to find out if any of these "variables" effect you.
