Hi Diana,

After you download Avast you must go back to the site and register under Support. They will send you a key which
you must copy and paste into Avast. Right click on the "A" ball and select Start Antivirus. Paste the key in here.
There are options under Protection Center to setup also. Then it will work automatically and update automatically.

I have avast virus checker and would like to know if it is checking for virus automatically or if u have to
implement it whenever u want a virus check.
