Rhonda, This may disappoint you but what you are asking to do is analogous
to try to convert a CD recording to play on a self playing electronic
organ.  A Midi player is just a musical instrument that has as input notes
with a lot of attributes to modify the sound of each note to sound like
various instruments.

A wave player is like a cassette player with the audio input compressed.
The usual reason folks want wave files to be in midi is the compactness of
the midi files. The best way to compress waves to date is the MP3 files and
MP3 players.  There are converters for wave files to MP3 files.
