Michael,

We're using Pegasus 2.54 on our network here, and we used to have
problems too with attachments sometimes being illegible.  The problem
seems to have been fixed by identifying the File Type on the
attachment screen BEFORE you choose the file you want to attach.  I
haven't had a problem with others reading attachments (any file
type) since I've been doing that.
