Hi list members. I hope someone can help.

I have a client with WinXP Pro. When ever you run an application that 
accesses the 'Documents and Settings/User name, it closes the application. I 
went to Windows Explorer/Documents and Setting and all files open except the 
User name folder. When I click on the name or the + beside it, it closes 
back to the desktop. I tried a number of cleaners (adaware, spybot etc.) but 
they all close when they reach the 'User name' folder. Did a Virus scan and 
found nothing.

Any help would be appreciated.
