Try this. Open Netscape and go to Help|Plugins (JavaScript must be
enabled for this to work, if it doesn't, go to Edit|Preferences|Advanced
and check it). Look for a Quicktime entry and make a note of its
location (it should be something like C|Program
Files|Netscape|Communicator|Program|Plugins|<and then the name of the
Quicktime .dll>). Close Communicator and do a search for this .dll,
right click it rename it. This will disable the Quicktime plugin.
Quicktime has been known to be rather insidious on Windows (and, for
that matter Apple!) machines. If you have trouble, ask the multimedia
peer-support group hosted on Netscape's secure servers
snews://secnews.netscape.com/netscape.test.multimedia. They will be
happy to help.
