AYou wrote this. Cool. How did you write it? It sounds like something
>I'd like to implement on a couple of systems.
It started out as a batch file in the early 90's using Norton Utilities for
DOS 5.0 and has progressed from there to an executable.
It has to written for a particular computer, and then tested and tweaked.
Once operational, it is pretty much bullet proof as long as things don't
change. Which is usually the case with office computers. With novice office
workers the script allows a one click solution. I sell this to the
customers I administer, at a pretty hefty price, and it is not something I
am going to share the source code, or how I do it! :).
If you have PCs that are running 24/7, a lot of it could be done with
Windows Scheduler, although I have never really liked this approach. But a
lot of things like virus scans, Disk Check, and Defrags can be set up this way.
>Heh. No, it actually sounds like a Godsend.
Yes and there is no reason why you can't follow the same procedure. Someone
who understands the what and how of what needs to be done can just do the
same manually.
