The incoming mail server name change may have been done to accomodate a
program such as SpamPal, It also requires a modifiaction in the Account name
as well.

I added this program recently due to all the nonesense that has been
bouncing around in the e mail. I hope this info has shed some light on how
your mail server name may have gotten changed.

Just my $0.02...

Subject: [PCSOFT] Thanks for your help on E mail problem

For some reason my "Incoming Mail Server" was "localhost". When I
followed his counsel and changed it to "Mail.Comcast.Net" I got a window to
enter user name & password, with both lines filled in ('remembered' by OE).
User name was wrong! When I corrected that, mail started coming through -
mirabile dictu! The scary part is I haven't a clue as to what I did last
week to create the problem.

Apparently many of us have the defect that my wife complains about with me:
can't keep more than one item in mind. Example: in my post to PCSoft
Digest I also asked for help in fitting web page to printed page. No one
responded to this!
