I have Google set as my default search.  Get the instructions from
http://www.google.com/options/defaults.html  These are registery changes
done up in easy-to-use wrappers.

To select Yahoo as your default, start IE, click on the Search button, click
on customize, select Use one search service and then select Yahoo at the
bottom of that list or any other available engine.
