Get the MS Outlook backup program at:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=8b081f3a-b7d0-4b16-b8af-5a6322f4fd01&displaylang=en
This program is available for Outlook 2000 forward. I believe it's
already installed on some versions (Look under the File menu/Backup.
I noticed some time ago that Outlook.exe will happily run multiple
copies of itself without the program opening. I noticed this when
Outlook failed to open occasionally. Killing the process in task manager
did no harm, and allowed me to proceed.
I have settled on using the MS backup program to back up Documents and
settings, which also copies the Outlook.pst file. This works for either
"All users" or each individual.
